3400427103_202e25da53_o Ever since the other day when I posted about saying yes these images have been in my head.

We will be called ‘oaks of righteousness.’

Hope is so sweet.  Jesus came to give us hope.  He thought of Isaiah 61 as His calling and His mandate.

To bind up the brokenhearted.  To proclaim freedom for the captives.  To release prisoners form darkness.

For our ashes He’ll give us beauty.  For our mourning, gladness.  For our despair, a garment of praise.  451703291_e328704252_b

And we will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor.

Father, for your splendor.

There is a song that I learned about a year ago at a conference some friends and I went to.  I love to sing this song because it reminds me of who I want to be.

I want to be like a tree, planted by the streams of living water.

I want to be unmoveable, unshakable, let me roots go down deep.  I want to be unmoveable, unshakeable in you.
